Only institutional players, such as insurance companies, banks, or mutual funds, participate in this deal as it involves transactions with large quantities or values of shares. During this time, minimum transactions of 5,00,000 shares or shares worth at least Rs. 10 crore are traded. It takes between two parties off the open market through negotiated deals.

After-hour trading

After-hours trading is making investments or trading after the closure of regular trading hours. The time for After-hour trading starts from 4:00 PM to 8:55 AM. Here, you get a chance to place an order even though the stock exchange market closes for the day.
